About 50 students and 10 staff from Monument Mountain's RISE program, Horticulture and Berkshire History classes, along with Project Sprout pressed gallons and gallons of apple cider from the press purchased with the USDA Farm to School Grant. The apples were harvested by students in the People and the Environment class from the orchard planted by Project Sprout 20 years ago under the guidance of Head of Guidance Mike Powell, and are maintained by teacher Jack Curletti and the district.
